230 School Road, Williamstown, KY 41097

Listing Description

Two structures sitting on a 3.87 acre parcel of land with a Williamstown address, yet close to the Owen County line. The largest structure is a 2 story building (built in 1924), that served as the Jonesville School building from 1939 until 1966, when it was sold and converted into a personal care facility. It remained such until late in 2023. The building is massive with 3266 square feet on each of two levels. In it's recent history, it provided assisted and personal care living environments to individuals with mental health issues, through state funding and individual partnerships. Called the Jonesville Rest Home, the structure was comprised of 26 beds (the state limit for that sized facility), along with numerous restrooms, a large industrial kitchen, a large laundry servicing area, numerous seating and office areas, storage rooms, as well as a large enclosed porch later added to the back of the building. The facility closed down roughly 3 years ago. A building this size has many usage options, and all of the beds, furniture, kitchen and laundry facilities are included in the sale. In additional to the nursing home facility there is another structure that sits on the left side of the property. This 1546 square feet home that has been partially remodeled, has been rented out for several years and provides another source of income for the property. There are currently active tenants on the property, and the buyer will have the option of continuing to rent, or potentially dividing the property and selling the home. To the right of the main structure is a large level lot that could be used for additional parking requirements , or potential additional structures on the property. The options are many and a building this large has several options, limited only by the imagination of the buyers. There is room to expand, with additional land behind both buildings, as well as the area past both buildings on the right side. What you choose to do with it is up to you. All aspects of potential usage of the buildings, the land, and the shared waste treatment plant, are to be verified through Grant County Planning and Zoning, along with any other relevant entities.
